Nice time creating some characters, masks and even a Noh stage for the movie "Bushido".

William Dresden, the producer, create an amazing text blurb about it:

"Bushido is a gothic thriller set in a city of secrets, involving the Japanese underworld operating in America. Pablo Lara H has been a key Conceptual Artist and Art Designer in the project since its inception. His attention to detail and his unique style helped bring Bushido to life in its early stages of development. Bushido is written and produced by William Dresden and Grayson Wolfe. The production team will be showcasing the film in 2013 on the international film circuit."

This is the story of the Rafle du Vélodrome d'Hiver or the episode known as "Vel' d'Hiv Police Roundup / Raid". The most hidden historic event and the cause of the shame of a whole country, France. And it is the story of the 13.152 french jew citizens arrested and deported to Auschwitz for total extermination.
The story is about two women. One little girl named Sarah Starzynski and a grown girl called Julia Jarmond. The little girl living in 1942 and the other one in our times. The first one surviving the death of their family and the other one fighting with the ignorance of the french husband.
Two women living in two different times. Two stories.
And an amazing movie with a splendid photography directed by Gilles Paquet-Brenner.

Trailer Le Fabuleux Destin dÁmelie Poulain

Everything is baroque and all the colors saturated. It is funny and sad.
There is a lovable role of Amélie Poulain which took Audrey Tautou to the fame.
You must pay attention to the details, even when it is very difficult to notice all what is happening in the sides of the story.
Finally, a intense and naive love story. Old fashioned way.
It is absolutely recommended for designers and illustrators and artists in general just because it is insanely beautiful.

Everything is an excuse to draw, even something you can`t remember.
I am hardly trying to remember a movie about a guy trapped in an old house, near of a cemetery. Somebody explains to him the story of the town with illustrations and how they discovered strange people in the cemetery. The strangers ate dead people.
I remember very clearly the illustrations. But the name of the movie...

By the way, I have drawn a zombie.
