About brazilian flowers, saints and France souvenirs

Brazilian flowers, saints and some drawn souvenirs from France.



T he first one above, is a Canonball tree flower aka Abricó de Macaco tree. It is very common in the parks. This one is based on a reference photo I took at the Aterro de Flamengo park.

The next below is a flower of a Ananas comosus var. variegatus, aka variegated pineapple. I took the reference picture near the Museu do Amanhã, a kind of new museum in Rio, made for the Summer Olympics of 2016. Curious? Check its website: https://museudoamanha.org.br/
The museum is surrounded by a beautiful and narrow garden with this plants.

 Saint Cosme and Damião are two saints brothers venerated in the whole Brazil. The people give bags of candies and sweets to the kids on 27th September. It is like a Halloween party without costumes. Saint Cosme and Damião  were two Arab physicians, who died execution by beheading. One of the first martyrs from the Catholic Church. Materials: 
Markers Hidrocor Premium and BRW (cheap ones), for painting.
Fineliners Snowman.
Paper:
Tilibra Offset 150 gsm.

And the last one,  I found some pictures I took with my telephone and I never published (I think), when I was visiting France a year ago. So, I took some of the elements on them and I made some sort of Travel Diary.

Technique: Markers.
Materials: 
Markers Hidrocor Premium and BRW (cheap ones), for painting.
Fineliners Snowman.
Paper:
Tilibra Offset 150 gsm.

When I was a kid I used this Tilibra notebooks in my country and I loved them because they had a lots of colors and illustrations.

Conclusion: for the first time I am using markers,I loved them because the colors are super intense and I do not have to tweak them a lot in the edition. But I need to get better markers.
Also, I add some coloring with pencil brushes.
